Bedding & Feeding

At Snuggles, we provide beds and bedding for your beloved cat. However, if your cat/s prefers their own bedding, feel free to bring it along. We understand that having their own blanket can bring cats comfort, and it can make settling in a breeze. Cats can be fussy eaters; therefore if you would prefer to provide the diet they are used to (clearly labeled with feeding instructions) you are welcome to do so. We have a freezer should you be feeding raw. We recommend and provide Diamond Naturals Finicky Cat should you wish to make use of that diet instead. (This is not included in the boarding fee.)  Bowls are provided.

Vaccinations & Health

At Snuggles Cat Lodge, the health and safety of our feline guests are our top priorities. To ensure the well-being of all cats staying with us, it is mandatory that every cat possesses a valid FVRCP  and Rabies vaccination for the entire duration of their reservation. For kittens over eight weeks old, at least one vaccination must have been administered. In the event that your cat is unable to receive vaccinations due to health reasons, we kindly request that you provide a veterinarian’s note explaining your cat’s condition. This documentation will help us understand and accommodate your pet’s specific needs while maintaining the safety and health standards of our facility.

Parasites

It is crucial that your cat is free from parasites at the time of check-in. To support this requirement, we ask that all guests bring a pipette of spot-on parasitic treatment to be administered upon arrival. This measure ensures that all cats at Snuggles Cat Lodge enjoy a comfortable and healthy stay, free from the risk of parasitic infestations.

Right of Refusal

When it comes to ensuring the safety and well-being of all pets at our boarding facility, stringent policies are necessary. One such policy pertains to the submission of valid documents proving a cat’s eligibility for boarding. Owners must provide up-to-date vaccination records and any other required health certifications. Failure to submit these documents will result in the denial of boarding services. This rule is in place to protect all animals from potential health risks and to maintain a safe environment for every pet in our care.

Additionally, our facility has specific requirements that cats must meet to be eligible for boarding. These requirements include being spayed or neutered, having no history of contagious diseases, and being free from parasites such as fleas and ticks. Cats who do not meet these criteria will not be accepted for boarding. These standards are crucial to ensuring that all boarded animals are in good health and that the risk of disease transmission is minimized.

Finally, the behavior of the cats at check-in is also a critical factor in determining their eligibility for boarding. Cats displaying overly aggressive tendencies, such as hissing, scratching, or biting, will not be accepted for boarding. Such behaviors can pose significant risks to our staff and other animals. We recommend that owners work with their veterinarians or professional trainers to address any behavioral issues before attempting to board their cats at our facility. Our ultimate goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment for all pets in our care.
